James F. Tullie, 89, of Micco, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2014. He was born on July 8, 1925 in Providence, RI to Michael and Beatrice Tullie.
He resided in Mystic, CT before moving to Micco 30 years ago. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War, was a member of the Sebastian Masons Lodge #232 and the American Legion of Sebastian. He recently attended the Honor Flight to Washington DC for veterans.
Prior to retirement, he was employed in research and development at General Dynamics in Groton, CT and was the first water pollution control superintendant for the town of Stonington, CT.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mildred; son, Michael Tullie (Margaret) and daughter, Patricia Crandall; grandchildren Daniel Tullie, Cassandra DuBrule and Leah Crandall; and 2 great-grandchildren, Collin Tullie and Jackson DuBrule.
