Janet Ann Griffin, 73, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Vero Beach, Florida.

Born January 8, 1952 in Dolton, Illinois, to the late Salvatore and Gladys Chimino, Janet later made her home in Sebastian after moving from Chatawa, Mississippi, with her husband Mickey in 2009.

She dedicated much of her life to helping others, working as a teaching assistant for the McComb School District in Mississippi before her retirement. Even in retirement, her generous spirit led her to volunteer with the Sebastian Hospital Auxiliary. Janet was also an avid crafter, known for her love of scrapbooking and floral arranging.

Among her fondest memories was being selected as a contestant on The Price Is Right during its 25th anniversary season in 1986 — and winning the Grand Prize.

Janet is survived by her son, Nickolas Griffin, and his wife Crystal of Sebastian; three stepchildren, Scott Griffin and his wife Susan of Stuart, Florida, Shawn Bauman and her husband Wayne of Bonita Springs, Florida, and Sandra Laws and her husband Dale of Lebanon, Tennessee. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Grace, Brecken, Brenton, and Laurell Griffin; Brett and Brooke Bauman; and Ian and Zane Laws.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law Marlene Chimino, wife of her late brother Freddie Chimino, along with nephews Rocky, Vince, and Dominic Chimino.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mickey.
