Jeanlue McClung, 87, passed away August 14, 2016 a VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach, FL. She was the wife of William Hoyt McClung they shared 62 years of marriage together.
She was born in New York on November 1, 1928 to Thomas and Muriel Lord.
Jeanlue graduated from Palm Beach Community College with an Associates Degree in Art and taught art through programs at Indian River Community College.
She belonged to the Methodist Church and attended Riverside Church in her later years.
She will be remembered for her contagious smile, creativity, and quick wit.
Jeanlue loved traveling to the Smokey Mountains, collecting rocks, drinking coffee, listening to gospel and bluegrass music, ice cream and anything Elvis and animals.
She is survived by her husband, William McClung; sister, Carlene Nilson; children, Laura McClung, Muriel Cobb, and Thomas McClung; four grandchildren, Jessica Pratt, Kyle McClung, Jamie Nero, and Tiffany Kochensparger; and two great-grandchildren, Thorin and Piper Pratt. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Burgreen; brother, Buddy Lord; mother, Muriel Lord and her father Thomas Lord.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Riverside Church, 11205 Roseland Road, Sebastian, FL.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or Halo Animal Rescue.
