Jerald Christopher Nelson, 47, of Boynton Beach, a former resident of Vero Beach from 1993 to 2004, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was born January 13, 1964 in Chicago, IL. He was a USMC veteran of the Persian Gulf War and received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was a supervisor at Bomar Builders in Deerfield Beach, and was a member of the American Legion and the DAV. Jerald is survived by his mother Nan Paparelli and step father Anthony Paparelli of Sebastian, FL, son Ryan Nelson of Vero Beach, FL, brother Dan Nelson and his wife Tina of Vero Beach, nephew DJ Nelson, step brother Patrick Paparelli of Baltimore, MD, fianc Ellen DeCarlo and daughter Danielle of Boynton Beach. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 11:30 am at the Palm Beach National Chapel in Lake Worth, 10055 Heritage Farms Road Lake Worth, FL 33449-6721 (561) 967-1200. Committal will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, with full military honors.
