Joan Madeline Gilchrist-Schackne passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Sebastian, Florida at the age of 88.
Joan enjoyed hand making gifts, needlepoint, traveling, watching sports, and cooking her famous baked macaroni. She loved her family and friends.
Joan is survived by her husband, Steve Schackne; children, James Edward Gilchrist (Eileen), David John Gilchrist (Lorie), Rachel Elizabeth Burke (Rob), Roy William Gilchrist (Susan); three step-children; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, James Edward Gilchrist.
