Joan Mae Warnock 88, of Micco, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025. Joan was born April 18, 1937 to Mae Pauline Oberg and William H. Darling in Providence, Rhode Island. After graduating high school Joan married George Roberts and had two sons, Kevin Michael Roberts and Shaun William Roberts. Joan retired from Travelers Insurance in Rhode Island.

In 1977, Joan met and married Merv Warnock in Cranston, Rhode Island. They moved to Micco, Florida in 1992 and their lakeside home in Snug Harbor Lakes in Micco in 2002. Joan attended Calvary Chapel in Sebastian, Florida. She was incredibly blessed with many loving friends. Joan celebrated 49 1/2 wonderful years of sobriety. She was also an avid sun lover and beach comber with an extensive sea glass collection. Her son Kevin fondly nicknamed her "Coppertone Joan".

Joan was predeceased by her loving husband Merv Warnock, her son Shaun William Roberts, her brother Bobby Darling and both of her parents. She leaves her son Kevin Roberts and his wife Dee-Dee Roberts of Vero Beach, Florida, her step daughter Karen Grimes of Charlestown, Rhode Island, her sister Geraldine Citrone and her husband Richard Citrone of Narragansett, Rhode Island, her nieces Deborah Darling Hyatt and Robbie Darling Jeroma of Melbourne, Florida. She is also survived by her granddaughter Nathalie Roberts of Gonfaron, France, granddaughter Anastasia Lofgren of Vancouver, Washington, grandson Nathan Grimes and his wife McKayla of Woodstock, Connecticut, Amelia Grimes of Torrington, Connecticut, great-grand daughters Melanie Lofgren and Zavaiah Mendiola of Vancouver, Washington, and great-grandson Shawn Grimes of Woodstock, Connecticut.

A Celebration of Joan's Life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Calvary Chapel in Sebastian, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Joan's honor may be made to Calvary Chapel, Sebastian, FL.
