Joan Zielinski, 75 of Barefoot Bay, FL. passed away at home on November 11 th 2021 . Joan was born in Philadelphia, PA. on May 30th,1946 to Marie and Gerard Blanchette . She attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Ft Lauderdale Fl , Florida State University and received her master degree from Texas A&M University.

Joan was 1st married to Greg Upp , and together they adopted 2 children, Sean Upp of Arlingtion TX and Kristin Upp of North Port FL. Joan was a National Board Certified speech pathologist for over 40 years, working with children in the public school systems. She enjoyed board games, storytelling, singing, dancing and playing a number of musical instruments. Joan was also a prayerful member of St. Sebastian's Catholic Church in Sebastian FL and volunteered there as a Catechist and Lector. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Anthony Zielinski and one sister MaryAnn Blanchette . Joan was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Marie Blanchette and her brother Edward Blanchette .

Joan leaves behind stepdaughter, Lisa Zielinski Cameron of Atlanta, GA, and stepson Stanley Howard Zielinski of Plano TX. Joan was also a grandmother to Bailey Upp Hinze of Ft. Worth Tx ., Michelle Guillen and Sean Dennison both of North Port FL. Joan was also the proud great grandmother to 5 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at St. Sebastian Cat holic Church on Saturday, November 20 th at noon. Service will be live streamed through St Sebastian's Facebook page. Memorial donations may be made in Joan's name to the Poor and Needy Fund at St Sebastian's Catholic Church in Sebastian FL.
