John Arthur Armstrong

1946 – 2025

John Arthur Armstrong passed away peacefully at his home on July 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old. Born to Bud and Mae Armstrong, John lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep love for his family, and an unwavering dedication to his work and passions.

In 1967, John married the love of his life, Elaine. Together they built a family grounded in love and laughter, raising two children—Brian (Crystal) Armstrong and Michelle (Steve) Wood. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to AJ and Ella Grace, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Armstrong.

John worked for Digital Equipment Corporation until 1987 and continued his career managing condominiums in South Florida until his retirement in 2008.  He was respected for his integrity, leadership, and commitment to excellence. In retirement, he devoted more time to one of his greatest passions: golf. For four years, he served as president of the men's golf league at Barefoot Bay, where he was known for his steady leadership, good humor, and love of the game.

John will be remembered for his warm presence, quiet wit, and the love he showed his family every day. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and steady guidance.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal service will be held. The family asks that those who knew John remember him in their own way—perhaps with a round of golf, a quiet moment of reflection, or a shared story.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
