John Herbert "Jack" Dow, 90, of Barefoot Bay, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay. John was born March 22, 1921 in Haverhill, MA, and moved to Barefoot Bay in the 1970's from Haverhill. He was an automotive tool designer, and a US Navy Lieutenant, having served in WWII and Korea. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Orioles Nest, and the VFW. John is survived by daughters Bonnie Kohan of Jonesboro, GA, Gayle Welch of Amesbury, GA, and April Michas of NY, step daughters Shelley Martinez of CA and Toni Arenstein of NY, sister Shirley Gilbert of Amesbury, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by his wife Ruth Sandler Dow and a sister, Peg Quinney. No services are scheduled.
