John Joseph Keane Jr., 72, Sebastian, FL., passed away on January 7, 2013 at Sebastian River Medical Center, Sebastian, FL.
Mr. Keane was born on January 10, 1940 in Oswego, NY. He had been a resident of Sebastian, FL., for the past 10 years originally from Boston, MA.
Before retirement he worked as a Boilermaker for local 29 in Quincy, MA., in the construction Industry. After retirement, he worked for Publix Supermarkets for 6 years, retiring from Publix last year.
Mr. Keane served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and The St. Sebastian Knights of Columbus Council 8009.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia E. Keane, Sebastian, FL., Sons, John J. Keane III, Tampa, FL., James P Keane, St. Petersburg, FL., and sister, Margaret A. Keane, New Port Richie, FL., numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel, Sebastian, FL.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, FL.
