John Perkins passed away peacefully at his home in Barefoot Bay, FL on January 24, 2015, at the age of 71.

John is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Maureen Perkins, daughters Denise Burgess, Michele Perkins, Donna Dyess, and Dawn Lana, son John Perkins, sister Barbara Corriston, and six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Veronica Perkins.

John was a resident of Barefoot Bay, Fl. Prior to retirement he was a Letter Carrier for 23 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Pembroke Pines, FL. John served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of both the Sebastian Elks and Moose Lodge.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 11:30 to 1:30 pm at Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian, FL, followed by at funeral mass at 2:00 pm at St. Sebastian Catholic Church with Honors provided by the American Legion.
