John (Jack) Soucy, passed away October 30th, 2016. He was born January 8, 1940 in Eagle Lake, ME; he lived in Bristol and Terryville, CT for most of his life before moving to Barefoot Bay, FL in 1998. Jack retired from General Motors New Departure in Bristol, CT and worked part-time as a Taxidermist. He served in the Navy from 1957 to 1961.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Nancy Soucy; son, Kevin Soucy; daughter, Kim (Dan) Engle; grandchildren, Cassandra and Gregg Kirouac, Chad Engle, Jared and Summer Soucy; great-grandchildren, Addison and Greyson Kirouac; sisters, Pat Goodnough, Carole Julian and Peggy Rugala; and his good friend Joe Ortel. He is predeceased by his brother, Phil Soucy; sister, Nancy Gill; and his mother and father, Jeannette and Oscar Soucy.

Jack was a generous and loving husband, father and grandfather. He would help anyone in need or want. He was considered a "Jack of all Trades" and could fix anything. He greatly loved and cherished his wife Nancy in their marriage of 38 years and was very proud of his son, Kevin and daughter, Kim. Jack was an avid sportsman, loved golfing, hunting, fishing, boating, bowling, and archery. He was especially proud of his 4 holes-in-one in golf. He loved sharing his love of sports with his family. He loved riding his motorcycle on back roads to watch wildlife and appreciate nature.

No services will be held per Jack's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity close to ones heart.

This wonderful man will be missed greatly and remembered fondly by family and friends.

Go in Peace, Jack. We will soon be together again.
