John is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Barefoot Bay, FL; daughters, Joy (Jerry) Abeln of Atlanta, GA and Bethe Spielman of Barefoot Bay, FL; granddaughters, Shelby Earley and Katelyn Abeln both of Atlanta, GA and Megan Spielman of Barefoot Bay, FL; and sister Barbara Vose (Nelson) of Sebastian, FL.
