John James Walker, Sr. , 71, passed away peacefully after a brief stay at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL with his family by his side.
John was born to the late George and Edna Walker on May 18, 1945 in Boston, MA. He graduated from Roslindale High School in 1963 and later received a Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and proudly served on the Boston Police Department for 41 years. John married the love of his life Mary E. Walker (Manning) in 1969. They lived together in West Roxbury, Ma where they raised their family before retiring to Sebastian, Fl.
John is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary; children, John Jr., Carolyn Twomey and Patricia;daughter-in-law Becky, son-in-law Joe; grandchildren Joey and Mary. Survived also by siblings George, Edward and Elizabeth, along with many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews.
No funeral services will be held. There will be a Celebration of life at a later date in Boston, Ma.
