Jorge Enrique Piquer, 79, passed away on December 23, 2022. He was the husband of Lourdes Pedrero Piquer. They shared 60 years of marriage together.

Born in Havana, Cuba, he was the son of Jose Raul Piquer and Eloina Ortiz. He graduated from North Miami High School and attended the University of Florida. He retired from Ortega Industrial Contractors as a construction superintendent.

Jorge was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the St. Sebastian Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Lourdes, his sons Alexander and Jorge Raul, his grandson Elias and daughter-in-law Jennifer. He was predeceased by his sister Elena Mayberry.

The memorial mass will be held on January 6, 2023 at 10AM at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. The internment will be on January 9, 2023 at 9AM at the National Cemetery in Mims, Fl.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County.
