Joseph Angelo Mascucchini, 78, of Sebastian Florida died Monday April 21, 2025. He was born April 22, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from South Philadelphia High School in June 1964 and completed JFK Vocational School in Food Preparation. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968 with honorable discharge.

Joe was a chef at the Headhouse in Philadelphia where he met an "fresh off the boat" English girl, Jacqueline Mascucchini, and married in March 1977. They resided in Bucks County Pennsylvania for 47 Years before moving to, "my kinda town," Sebastian in June 2024.

Joe loved to cook for his family and friends, his Italian heritage shining through with the best homemade bread, meatballs, and gravy on Sundays. He was an avid fisherman, lover of all things Hemingway, and frequent traveler with his wife, Jacqueline.

Joe is survived by his wife, Jacqueline;  by his children Katrina Hockings of Sebastian, FL and Lisa (Dan) Smith, of Doylestown, PA; a brother Ronald (Jacqueline) Mascucchini of Doylestown, PA; a sister Maria Mascucchini of Philadelphia, PA; and sister in law Christine (John) Glover of Sebastian, FL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father Nicholas Mascucchini; Mother Francesca (Jackie) Mascucchini, ne Cavallo; son Keith Hockings and brother, Anthony Mascucchini.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on May 1, 2025, at 10am.
