Joseph A. Steiner, 89, of Sebastian FL, passed away December 24, 2016.
Joseph was born on January 31, 1927 in Delray Beach, Fl to Clifford and Opal Steiner. Joseph joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country during World War II. He was a resident of Sebastian, FL for 21 years after moving from Delray Beach, FL. Joseph was a member of the Historical Society of Sebastian and Wabasso First Baptist Church; he also sponsored many different missionaries.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Don) Blair; companion/caregiver, Patty Harris; grandson, Sam (Sarah) Blair; granddaughters, Alesha (Justin) Stinson, and Shannon (Kevin) McCarty; and 8 great-grandchildren, Cole McCarty, Nathan and Owen McCarty, Alaina, Lydia, and Oliver Stinson, Glenn Bo, and Edie Bea Blair and one on the way. He was predeceased by his wife, Juanita Hathcock Steiner; brothers, Stanley and Alan Steiner; and his sister, Elsie Schnabel.
A viewing is scheduled for 12:00 pm, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming Street, Sebastian, FL 32958 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6026 North US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946 immediately following the funeral.
