Judith D. Raynor, 73, of Shelter Island, NY, passed away unexpectedly, February 7, 2017.
Judy was born in Greenport, NY, on December 23, 1943. She graduated from Greenport HS in 1962 and married Wayne Raynor on February 9, 1963. They eventually settled in Canastota, New York, where they lived for 35 years. They moved permanently to Florida in 2004, and resided in Hobe Sound and Vero Beach.
Judy is survived by her husband, Wayne, her daughter and son-in-law Paula and David Essig and two grandsons, Jacob and Matthew Essig, of Vero Beach, FL. Judy was predeceased by her daughter, Phylis Raynor, in January of 2000.
Judy is also survived by her sister, Marion S. Dickerson, of Lynnwood, WA, three nieces: Virginia Thornton, of Norton, MA; Christine Ogar, of Palmer, AK; and Valerie Spasojevic, of Edmonds, WA, and her brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Myrna Simes, of Des Plaines, IL.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Judy on March 5th, at Cambridge at Heritage Ridge South Clubhouse on 8201 S.E. Constitution Blvd, Hobe Sound, FL 33455, from 1-4 pm.
