Sebastian, FL, formerly of Saugus, MA - Judy Wormstead, age 80, died on Friday, May 5th after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. She was the beloved wife of William Wormstead for 61 years.

Born and raised in Lynn, MA, Judy was born to the late Herbert and Elizabeth Lockwood on December 18, 1942. She was also predeceased by her two sisters, Barbara Collins of Saugus and Doris Preble of Sebastian, FL.

In addition to her husband, Judy was a loving mother to her late son William (Billy) Wormstead of Saugus, daughter Laurie Sperou and husband Christopher of Marlborough, daughter Kimberly Preston and husband Paul of Saugus; 6 grandchildren, Krista, Joseph, Courtney, Andrew, Shauna and Cameron; 1 great grandson Nathan.

After marrying her high school sweetheart and raising 3 children, she worked 25 years at Mass Statistics in Wakefield before retiring and moving to Florida where she resided with her husband for the past 20 years.

Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, laughing, reading, baking cookies for her grandchildren, and had a deep passion for animals, especially her cats. The life and love she built with her husband and family was her most precious accomplishment.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's memory to Rothmund-Thomson Syndrome Foundation at rtsplace.org or mailed to RTS Foundation, 4307 Woodward Court, Chantilly, VA 20151. This charity was near and dear to her heart.
