IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathryne J
Sarafino
May 4, 1945 – April 3, 2020
Kathy Sarafino, born in New Haven, CT, on May 4, 1945, lived happily in Grant before passing away on April 3, 2020, after a relentless 6-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She and her husband, Bob, lived in New England for a number of years before moving to South Florida where they lived for over 20 years. Her loving husband, Bob, was at her side. Just a few weeks before Kathy's death, their precious dog, Blaze, also passed away.
Kathy loved to travel, having been on trips to Italy, and Europe with girlfriends. She also enjoyed geo-caching and did so in a number of states around the country. She even had 'snake boots' to protect her and lots of technical equipment to help her find treasures well hidden.
One of Kathy's passions was RV-ing with skeet friends in their motor home with Blaze. While Bob shot skeet and refereed, Kathy could be found shopping with her girlfriends or helping to cook up one of the great meals everyone enjoyed at the Registered Shoots. Bob and Kathy both drove their motor home and could be found anywhere along the East Coast as they traveled to Shoots including many, many trips to the World Shoot in San Antonio. Watching "The Ball" drop on New Year's Eve at The Polk County range happened because of a dedicated few including Kathy who put the party all together – though at 9 p.m. instead of midnight so everyone could shoot the next day.
Kathy 's biggest joy was her large family and numerous close friends. She was a gentle spirit and spent her days offering her thoughtful friendship to those around her. She was happy on her front porch in her white rocking chair watching the world go by or chatting with friends.
Kathy leaves her brother, Bill Consiglio in California; nephews David Rae, Andy Rae in New York and Mark Consiglio in Arizona, as well as a niece, Christine.
Kathy and Bob have requested no cards or flowers, but that a donation be made to your favorite charity. Kathy's ashes will be taken – along with Blaze's ashes - to Keuka Lake in New York, where their precious spirits will be strewn over the Lake to live forever more.
