Obit: Kevin James Schmitz

Kevin James Schmitz, 56, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 after an extended illness.

Mr. Schmitz was born December 8, 1955 in Monroe, MI and moved to Vero Beach five years ago from Jackson, MI. .

He was a member of St. Mary Church in Monroe and had worked for H. J. Schmitz and Sons in Michigan. Recently he had been a self-employed truck owner and driver owning JK Leasing in Saline, MI and working with Best Block Company in Warren, MI.

Survivors include his parents James G. and Joan T. Schmitz of Monroe; two sisters Marilyn Prucka of Monroe and Nancy Nemec of Ida, MI; and a brother Eric Schmitz of Amanda, OH.

He was predeceased by his brother Gary M. Schmitz, maternal grandparents Vallie and Alice Dussia, and paternal grandparents Harold and Martha Schmitz.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 5480 85th Street, Wabasto, FL 32967.

Services: A memorial service will take place in Monroe, MI at a later date with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe.
