Kurt Evers' Obituary
Kurt Evers, 79, of Barefoot Bay, Florida, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017.
A celebration of his life with a military Color Guard will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 7, 2017 at the VFW Post 10210, 815 Louisiana Avenue, Sebastian, Florida, 32958, where he was an active member.
Kurt was born October 1, 1937 in New York City, New York. He served in the United States 8th Army in the 88th Division Army Corps of Engineers, APO 971 Ascom City. He served his country in Korea from 1955 to 1957.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Steenkamp of Johannesburg, South Africa, and Cheryl Wheless of Winter Garden, Florida, as well as his brother Raymond Evers of New York, and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the VFW Post 10210 in care of the Relief Fund or the Scholarship Fund. The mailing address of the VFW Post is listed above.
