Laurence Ann Caputo, known affectionately as Laurie, passed away on January 7, 2026 in Sebastian, Florida. Born on September 15, 1966 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the late Paul H. and Lucille Martel. Laurie grew up in a loving family and was deeply cherished for her sensitive and loving nature. She leaves behind her cherished son Dominic Caputo.

Laurie had a gift for making people safe and cared for, even in their hardest moments. She gave her time, her energy and her compassion without fault. Whether it was a friend going through a difficult issue, a neighbor who needed a hand or a stranger whose burden she sensed instinctively, she showed up with love.

Laurie spent her entire career at Hasbro, where she began as a phone operator while still in high school and rose to become one of their top sales associates. Her dedication and passion for her work were evident to all that knew her.

A true lover of the ocean and animals, Laurie found joy in the simple pleasures of life, surrounding herself with family and the natural beauty of the world. Her presence brought warmth and kindness to every gathering and her absence will be deeply felt by all.

Laurie is survived by her brother Chris Martel and his wife Wendy Martel, her sister Lisa Danger and her husband Bruno Danger and her sister-in-law Joyce Martel. Nieces Angela Martel and her son Cody, Desiree Gonzalez and her husband Rusty Gonzalez, Desiree's daughter McKenzie and niece Victoria Martel.

Laurie was preceded in death by her parents Paul H. and Lucille Martel, and her brother Paul L. Martel.

The Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian, Florida is assisting the family in this difficult time. Laurie's life and legacy will be remembered and celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
