LaVerne Ann Raines (Vogt), 88, of Sebastian, FL. Died Monday, October 5, 2026, with her family by her side.

LaVerne was born to the late Wilford and Myrtle Vogt on April 21, 1938 in St. Louis, MO. LaVerne graduated from Notre Dame High School (St. Louis) in 1956. She married the late James Raines in 1958, and they lived in St. Louis MO. before moving to Wabasso, FL. in 1984. They later moved and retired to Sebastian, FL.

LaVerne and her husband Jim worked as managers of the KOA Kamp ground in Wabasso. Later, LaVerne worked for Publix Supermarkets in Sebastian as a cashier until her retirement.

LaVerne was a parishioner of Saint Sebastian Catholic Church and a resident of Palm Lake Club where sha had many friends.

LaVerne is survived by her children; Marc (Michelle) Raines, Vickie (Karl) Elbrecht, Deborah (late Scott) Kauffmann, Brenda (Michael) Kahn, and the late Timothy Raines. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 20, 2026, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 US Highway 1, Sebastian, FL 32958.
