Lawrence Joseph McNamee Sr 87, passed away on January 6, 2024.  He was the husband of Charlotte Ruth McNamee who passed away in December of 2022.  They shared 57 years of marriage and had four children.  Born in Amityville, NY, he was the son of Lillian and Edward McNamee.

He joined the United States Airforce as a young man, transferred to the US Coast Guard and eventually retired from the US Navy Reserve.  He also retired from a robust career as a Radio Operator at Arinc on Long Island. He was a long-standing member of the American Legion, VFW, and The Ancient Order of Hibernians.  He will be remembered for his love of family, dedication to country and sense of humor.  He loved spending time with family, boating and all things sports.

He is survived by his children, Lawrence Jr (son), Elizabeth (daughter in law), Thomas (son), Theresa (daughter in law), Kenneth (son), Mary (daughter in law), Ryan (grandson), Thomas Jr (grandson), Robert (grandson), Sean (grandson) and Aidan (great grandson), as well as his beloved dog Daisey.  He is predeceased by his wife Charlotte, Colleen (daughter) and Deborah (granddaughter).

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM followed by a Prayer Service at 4:00 PM at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S Fleming St, Sebastian, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 15, 2024 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 US Highway 1, Sebastian, FL.
