Leonard Mark Maday, 59, of Barefoot Bay, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at home. He was born December 27, 1951, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and moved to Barefoot Bay 11 years ago from Denver, CO. Leonard was a musician with the Tom Slick Show Band, and had a radio show in Denver. He was a graduate of King's College and Hanover Township Memorial High School in PA, and a volunteer with the Hanover Green Little League and the Hanover Green Ambulance Association. He belonged to St. Luke's Catholic Church .
Survivors include his daughter Chassidy Bond of Barefoot Bay, son Ryan Burton of Kansas City, KS, 4 grandchildren, sister Ann Niezgoda of Edwardsville, PA, brother John Maday of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and brother Michael Maday of Edwardsville.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 am Monday, September 19, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Micco, FL. A memorial mass in Pennsylvania will be held 11 am Saturday October 22 at the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church in Hanover Township, PA.
