Obituary

Linda Lou Seiders, lovingly known as "Pooh," 88, of Sebastian, FL went to be with the lord on November 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born to the late John and Mary Marcelline Bright on August 21,1937, in Belle, WV. Linda graduated from Dupont High School in 1955. She married her husband George Seiders (the love of her life) in June of 1984, and was happily married for 41 years. They built a beautiful life together in Ohio, and later relocated to Sebastian, FL.

Linda spent most of her life as a homemaker, pouring her love into her home and family. She held many jobs over the years including secretarial and factory roles. She also owned a consignment store. No matter what she did, she gave it her full heart and hard work.

Faith and community were important parts of her life. While residing in Ohio she was an active member of the Evangel Baptist Church in Boardman. After relocating to FL she and George became active members of the Kings Baptist Church in Vero Beach, FL. She also served as the President of the Gideon's Auxiliary.  She was an active social member at Park Place in Sebastian, where she created many friendships.

Linda lived a long and full beautiful life. Quilting was one of the many ways she showed her love, as many of her grandchildren have treasured quilts she created just for them. She enjoyed going on adventures with her husband George such as scuba diving, rafting, and traveling. Linda's hobbies included decorating her home, shopping for her favorite things in every color, and collecting antiques. More than anything, she loved being a mother and grandmother.

Linda was kind, funny, strong in all the ways that mattered, and gentle when people needed it most. She loved her family with a deep, fierce devotion. She gave comfort and strength without ever being asked. Her love was steady and unconditional, and everyone who knew her felt it.

Linda's legacy lives on in every person she touched. She will be remembered as the best of us, a true inspiration, and the soft, steady heart of her family.

She is survived by her husband George Seiders; her son Mark (Debbie) Pernell; her stepchildren Betsy (Lyndall) Huggler, Anne (Gary Hicks) Kostyo, Katheryn (Chris) George, and David (Theresa) Seiders; her sister Jil Coffman and her family; and her best friend of 55 years, Shirley (Les) Peterson. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved sons, John Robert "Rob" Pernell and Charles William "Chuck" Pernell, II; her parents, John Bright and Mary Marcelline Bright Arnold; her first husband, Charles Pernell; and her brother, Dannie Bright.
