Lucy Bowles, 86 of Sebastian Florida passed away on March 13, leaving those who knew and loved her to remember a life, lived with warmth and kindness. Lucy was born on January 14, 1939 in Tarrytown, New York to George and Margaret Bowles. She was the youngest of five children.

After graduating from Briarcliff High School, Lucy had a successful career working for General Foods for over 20 years. Upon retiring, she relocated to South Florida, where she and her sister, Peggy, lived in the first of many homes that they would share together over the next 35 years.

When Lucy wasn't outside working in her garden, she would either be inside, creating one of her magnificent cross stitches, or curled up reading a good book with one or two of her many beloved pets lying beside her.

Lucy is predeceased by her brother George (Brud) Bowles and her sister, Mary Anne Daniels. She is survived by her sister Margaret  (Peggy, Peg) Powers of Sebastian, Florida and her brother Raymond (Ray) Bowles of Gainesville, Florida; her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

As a wonderful sister, aunt, and friend Lucy was always there when we needed her most with the shoulder to lean on, a kind word of love and support, or with words of wisdom from a well- lived.
