Manuel Antonio de Vasconcelos, 91 years old of Sebastian Florida, passed away at Sebastian Hospital on January 31, 2023.
Born in Bretanha, S. Miguel Azores, Son of the late Antonio José de Vasconcelos and Maria Teresa Raposo de Vasconcelos.
Prior to his retirement he was a carpenter for a construction company for many years.
A kind and very hard working man, Manuel had a heart of gold and was always willing to offer support and help to anyone in any way that he could.
Manuel loved woodworking, fixing things and watching soccer games, his favorite team was Benfica from Portugal, but most importantly, he loved spending quality time with his family. He loved to see all of his children together at the table. He instilled morals and practical values within his loved ones. Manual was very devoted to his church with strong Catholic beliefs.
He will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Manuel is survived by his 2 brothers: Antonio José de Vasconcelos from Bretanha, and Artur Vasconcelos from Canada: 9 children: Antonio Vasconcelos and Isabel (spouse), Fernando Vasconcelos and Maria de Lurdes (spouse), Gorete LeVasseur Vasconcelos, Maria de Lurdes Botelho and Paulo (spouse), Francisco Vasconcelos and Luisa (spouse), Odília Faria and Dimas (spouse), Sonia Rego and Joseph (spouse), José Vasconcelos and Mary Ellen (fiance), Henrique Vasconcelos and Cathryn (spouse):21 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Manuel was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Maria Carlos Vasconcelos, and 2 sisters, Maria Henriqueta Vasconcelos and Envangelina Vasconcelos Pacheco.
The family would like to invite his friends and family to Manuel's Visitation at Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian, Florida on Monday, February 6th at 11am and the funeral Mass to follow at the St. Sebastian Catholic Church at 12pm.
