Obituary

Marilyn (Stone) Miller, 87, entered into rest on August 19, 2016 at her home in Snug Harbor in the compassionate care of Hospice of St. Francis after a long battle with C.O.P.D. Marilyn was born February 6, 1929 in New Haven, Ct to Ruth and Earle Stone, and grew up with her late brother Russell in East Haven. After graduating East Haven High School she attended Quinnipiac College. She married her late husband, Charles Miller, of Fair Haven, CT in 1954. Together they built their home in Madison, CT. They were the parents of twins Richard Miller, who predeceased them in 1977, and Patricia Lirot, still of Madison, CT. While raising their children, Marilyn worked at several jobs, first with Southern New England Telephone, then with the Madison Answering Service, and finally retiring from her job as supervisor of communications for the Town of Madison's Dept. of Emergency Services at which time she and Charles moved to Loudon, NH. They spent many happy years "snow birding" between Loudon and the Sebastian area of Florida, which they called home for the past thirty plus years. Marilyn and Charles had been fortunate to have done fairly extensive traveling during their retirement years which they both enjoyed immensely, proudly saying they had been in all but 3 U.S. states, as well as several jaunts to other countries. They were married for 59 years before he passed in September, 2014. Marilyn and Charles were blessed to have been well and lovingly cared for by their devoted aide of the last 3 years, Cindy Harding, to whom the Miller family will be forever grateful.

Donations in Marilyn's memory can be made to Hospice of St. Francis, 1250-B Grumman Place, Titusville, FL 32780.

Seawinds Funeral Home is honored to serve the Miller family.
