IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marjorie Z
Wehman
November 21, 1931 – March 7, 2024
Marjorie Zillah Knight Wehman, of Barefoot Bay in Florida, passed away on March 7, 2024 following a stroke. With family by her side, she was ready and prepared to go home to Jesus.
Marjorie, born in Elyria, Ohio on November 21, 1931 was the daughter of the late Jack and Ena Knight. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Knight, and her husband, Thomas Wehman.
She was proud of her English heritage as her parents made the long journey from England to America, where they established a family-run business, Jack Knight the Dry Cleaner. After Marjorie became the owner and operator of the dry cleaner, she worked there until her retirement in 1999.
Marjorie followed in her father's footsteps by retiring to the Barefoot Bay community he had chosen. She loved watching the birds and other wildlife in her backyard pond as well as the golfers playing on Hole #5. And she thoroughly enjoyed the amazing sunsets.
Formerly, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elyria and she has been a longtime member of the Riverside Church in Sebastian. For many years, she led a bible study group and helped with a ministry program for homeless people. She was always a faithful servant.
Marjorie is survived by her three sons, Guy Wehman of Montreal, Missouri; Brad Wehman (Guyla) of Bonita Springs, Florida; and Stephen Wehman of Naples, Florida. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Seawinds Funeral Home. A service, officiated by Pastor Grant Foster from Riverside Church will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at a later date at the Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverside Church or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
