Mark Steven Veidt, age 68, of Sebastian, passed away suddenly at his home in Sebastian, Florida on Monday March 4, 2019.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to the Sebastian area in the early seventies.  He worked as a carpenter and for the City of Sebastian until he retired in 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son Adam (Jes) Veidt; daughters Casi (Josh) Farrar and Jenna (Grant) Evans; grandchildren Summer Johnson, Kylee Farrar and Landon Farrar; sisters Marsha Pisano, Sandra (Lew) Robinson, Julie (John) Cameron; brother Terry Veidt; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark had a passion for cooking, especially BBQ. It always put a big smile on his face when he saw others enjoying the meals he cooked. He was an avid woodworker, taking on many projects for family and friends. In his spare, time he especially enjoyed being on the golf course.  He traveled where he wanted to travel, laughed inappropriately at every chance, learned what he wanted to learn and fixed what he wanted to fix. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 9, at 1:00 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1301 Sebastian Blvd., Sebastian.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent c/o Adam Veidt, 8515 96th Court, Vero Beach, FL 32960 towards a memorial at the Sebastian Golf Course.
