In Loving Memory Of Sue Armstrong Wallen
Sue Armstrong Wallen, of Indian River Estates at Vero Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in the presence of her family on January 21st, 2019.
She was born on October 17, 1929 in Fredericksburg, Indiana to the late Earl Armstrong and Ferne Miller Armstrong. Sue attended Indiana Central University where she met and married the love of her life, John W. Wallen (deceased January 24, 2017) and relocated to John's home town of Bellport, NY. Sue was a long-time member of The League of Women Voters, and the Christopher Harrison Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (Salem, IN). Despite a very busy schedule Sue's first career was as a loving wife and devoted mother. She later received her college degree and started her second career as a public school librarian in the Patchogue-Medford School District. After John and Sue retired and moved to Florida, Sue spent over 20 years as an active member of the Rosary Makers, St. Helen's Church and was an expert Mah-jongg player, gourmet cook, and avid gardener.
Sue is survived by her three children Marllyn Justice (Dale) of Vero Beach, Claudia Wallen Logalbo of Fort Salonga, NY, and John W. Wallen III (Antonina Raccosta) of Las Vegas, NV, and six grandchildren, as well as her brother Arlen Armstrong (Indiana) and sister Fran Aton (Florida).
Sue's Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 28th at Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church in Bellport, NY.

In lieu of flowers Sue's family requests that donations be made in her honor payable to the "ACTS Legacy Foundation Chapel Fund", mailed to Indian River Estates, 2150 Indian Creek Blvd, Vero Beach, FL 32966.
