Mary Patricia Tracy "Pat" Fraser, a Norwich, CT, native and retired telephone company representative, died Aug. 1 at Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL, after a long journey with Alzheimer's disease.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sat., Aug. 17, 2013 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2025 20th Ave., Vero Beach. Pat was a devout Catholic.
Born on Oct. 17, 1933, Pat attended Norwich Free Academy and did modeling work before her Bell Telephone career. She married John Fraser Oct. 20, 1962. They lived in Rye, NY, before moving in 1983 to Spanish Lakes Country Club, Ft. Pierce, FL. Pat later lived briefly in Sebastian, and for 5½ years at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.
Pat enjoyed dancing, swimming, parties, socials, and making ceramics and crafts. She was a past Hospice thrift shop volunteer in Fort Pierce.
Pat always looked for and shared the beauty and joy and laughter and hope of this world. She always saw her glass as being half-full. She always had kind and positive words for others, and always encouraged them to pursue happiness. She was the truest of friends.
She is survived by family friends Phyllis D. Walsh and Trish Walsh in Sebastian, three nieces, and a nephew. Her husband, parents, and sisters Betty Ihle and Theresa Pounch died earlier.
