Mary Storm, a beloved soul who graced this world with her presence for nearly 95 years, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, in the comforting embrace of her daughter after a courageous battle with illness. Born on October 18, 1931, in Swindon, England, Mary lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a profound appreciation for the beauty around her.

Mary was predeceased by her devoted husband, Franklyn, and her cherished son, Robert. She is survived by her loving daughter, Carolanne and her husband, Michael Booth. Mary's life was also blessed by the enduring friendships she shared with Ted and Barbara, Santa and Greg, Joan, Rosalynn, Crystal, and all the members of the Ludlow Senior Center, who will remember her fondly.

Her love of nature was a gift to all who knew her, and she shared this passion through years of dedicated volunteering at the Lupa Zoo. At home Mary’s English Garden was a testament to her green thumb, where friends and passersby were always welcome to enjoy a cool beverage, take cherished photos, and leave with an envelope of seeds to start their own garden magic. To many, she was affectionately known as "Mother Nature," and to her daughter, she was lovingly called "My Little Garden Gnome."

Mary had an incredible ability to ease the sadness of others with a calming hug, a warm cup of tea, and a safe space to share their burdens. Her adventurous spirit knew no bounds—she was quick to try anything, including the exhilaration of parasailing.

Known for her impeccable sense of style, Mary's attire was always perfectly coordinated from head to toe. Her flair for fashion was legendary among her friends at the Senior Center, who often wondered with delight, "What is that crazy gal going to be wearing today?"

In honor of Mary's life and her enduring love for animals, donations in her memory can be made to Lupa Zoo, located at 62 Nash Hill Road, Ludlow, MA 01056.

Mary's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, as we celebrate the remarkable life she led and the love she so generously shared.
