Matthew Budzko Jr., 81, passed peacefully at the William Childs Hospice House on March 7 ^th , 2020. He retired from Portland, Maine School Department after many years teaching elementary education. Matt was a star athlete all through high school and college in basketball, track, and cross country. Matt's hobbies were golfing, casinos, traveling, and spending time with family.

Left to miss him dearly are his wife of 49 years Paulette; sons Matthew (Wendy) and Anthony Budzko; granddaughters Amber Pinette and Aimee (Joshua) Becker; great granddaughters Jordyn, Tenley, Piper, and Hadley all of Florida. Siblings Julia Roberts and John Thompson of Maine and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Matthew Budzko Sr., Mary Thompson, and step-father John Thompson; Brothers Richard and Dominic; son David.

Services will be held at a later date in Maine.
