Obituary: Michael Andreou
Michael Andreou, 87, of Sebastian, FL died Friday, March 30 2012 at his home.
Mr. Andreou was born November 8, 1924 on the Greek Island of Samos and moved to Sebastian 14 years ago from Rochester, NY.
He graduated from college in Greece with a degree in education, flew for the British Royal Airforce during WW II, and taught school in Greece prior to moving to the United States. He received a degree in Machine Desigh from RIT, worked at General Dynamics and retired from Eastman Kodak as a Senior Mechanical Draftsman in Rochester.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Phyllis M. Andreou of Sebastian; three daughters, Michelle Clark of Sebastian, Debbie Harloff of Sebastian and Christine Kwarta of Rochester; a sister Elpida of Greece; two brothers Kostas and Andrias both of Greece; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Services: No services are planned locally.
