Mildred "Millie" (Sordelet) Virant of Sebastian, FL passed away peacefully on September 28, 2018 at the age of 76.  She was born in Yonkers, NY, and moved to Brewster, NY as a child and graduated from Brewster High School.  She became a legal secretary and then a paralegal, working in the Brewster, NY and Carmel, NY area until she retired and moved to Boca Raton, FL in 1991.  Mildred was a lifelong member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Brewster, NY and spent many years volunteering for the March of Dimes.  She is survived by her loving husband on 55 years, Joseph K. Virant, Sr.; children, Joanne Virant Torres of Boca Raton, FL, Amy Haines (Ryan) on Bluffton, SC, and Joseph K. Virant, Jr. (Adelaida) of Boca Raton, FL; sister, Barbara Weldon (Robert) of Dover Plains, NY; brother, Brian Sordelet of Brewster, NY; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Services for Millie will be scheduled in the future.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.  An online guestbook may be signed at www.seawindsfh.com .  Seawinds Funeral Home is honored to serve the Virant family.
