Patricia "Pat" A. Oreal, 77, wife of the late Henry J. Oreal passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Born May 4, 1942, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, she was the biological daughter of the late Felix Seier and Althea Erdman. Althea later married Robert Schwartz, who henceforth took on the role of a loving father to Pat.
Pat moved to South Florida and had two children with Eugene Dobbs; Pattie and Robert. A few years later, Pat met and married her soulmate, Henry J. Oreal, to whom she remained dedicated to until his passing in 2016.
In addition to being a wife and mother, Pat's early career was centered around being a professional dancer at the Mai Kai and other Polynesian venues in South Florida. Over time, she pursued her passion for art and creativity, and became an accomplished photographer. A highly-decorated graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, she won numerous awards for her photography. Her most notable awards were from the Sun-Sentinel newspaper and Kodak, in which one of her images was used during the Olympic Games.
Pat will be remembered for the beauty she brought into the world through her art, her compassion and generosity towards others, and the fierce strength of her spirit.
She is survived by her daughter Pattie Dobbs; son Robert Dobbs and his wife Susan; step-son Gary Oreal; granddaughter Amber Shannon; grandsons Joshua and Jakob Dobbs; step-grandsons Gary and Dax Oreal; sister Cindy Schwartz; sister-in-law Sharon Seier; dear friend Deborah Whiteside; life-long friend Betty Goins; and her sweet pup who was always by her side, Lily. As well as those mentioned above, she was predeceased by her brothers, James Seier and Felix Seier Jr.
In lieu of funeral services, a private ceremony will be held and her ashes will be placed in a rose garden among wildflowers, as she requested.
