Obituary

Paul Petrella Jr. 93, of Sebastian, FL passed away on 9/2/19

Paul was raised in West New York, NJ and attended Memorial High School until he left school to join the military and fought in World War II.  When the war ended, Paul, a loyal member of the Hudson County Jays Baseball Association, traveled all over the country playing with farm teams.  When he realized that he couldn't play at a high level, he quit baseball and began working in the printing field and did so for many years.

He married and moved to Cliffside Park, NJ where he raised a family.  He volunteered his time to Cliffside Little League as a coach and umpire for over 20 years.  Paul worked for the Post Office in South Hackensack, NJ before retiring in 1986.

Paul was a member of the Hudson County Moose Lodge. He was a wonderful father and a friend to all who knew him.

Paul moved to Sebastian, FL in 2012 after the death of his wife Dottie to live with his daughter Cathy.  His love for life, family and baseball were with him until the end.

He is survived by his daughters Cathy Petrella, Doreen Petrella and grandson Anthony Paul Petrella. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (nee Barnaba) Petrella and his son Paul A. Petrella III.
