Peter Michael Polinski, 76, of Sebastian Florida died on Saturday, June 14th at home with his wife and family by his side. He was born to the late Peter and Shirley Polinski on New Year's Eve, 1948 in Beverly, Massachusetts. Peter graduated from Beverly High School in 1966 and went on to serve 4 years in the U.S. Air Force.  Peter received a BSc. In Electrical Engineering and began his career as an Electrical Engineer working for General Electric, before following one of his true passions; sailing, by opening and managing a yacht charter business in the Caribbean.

He met Esme in The British Virgin Islands and they later married in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands on Valentine's Day, 1991.  They enjoyed many years in the Caribbean before relocating to Weare, New Hampshire. They later retired and moved to Sebastian, FL in 2013.

A U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran, Peter was a member of the Church at The Cross where he enjoyed the fellowship of friends and the Patriotic Sermons delivered by Pastor John Vacchiano.

Peter is survived by his wife, Esme, sisters Paula Riegel of NH, Patrice Fredette of NH, stepchildren Allison Bush of Oslo, Norway and Jamie Bush of Plano, Texas.  Our family wishes to extend a special thank you to the VNA for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the VFW Post # 10210 of 815 Louisiana Avenue, Sebastian, FL in Peter's honor.

A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at 11.00 a.m. at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754.
