Phyllis Joan Wilson 1936-2024

Loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Joan Wilson, 87, of Fellsmere, FL, died peacefully in Darien, GA on June 9, 2024.

She was born in Corbin, KY in 1936 to Betty Lou and Coy Hill. One of 8 children, she had six sisters (Rosa Mae, Edith, Brenda, Jeanette, Marlene and Tenna) and one brother (Onzie).

Joan met the love of her life, Bud, when they were just kids, and they got married  when she was a young girl. They had 2 children, Joe and Diana.

Joan's favorite role was that as a grandparent (to Joseph Wilson, Andy Stock, Mike Stock, Cindy Shelton and Amanda Bartlett) and great grandparent (to Colton, Ashleigh, Bethaney, Joey, Tyler, Coy, AJ, Jacob and Marty) She treasured her time with grand and great grands kids and loved being their Gramma, never failing to find something fun to do.

Joan was an active member of Fellsmere Chapel.

Gramma will always be remembered for her silliness and love for fun.   We couldn't have asked for a better gramma, sister and friend, and we will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
