Dr Ralph Oles passed away peacefully at his second residence in Jacksonville, Florida.  Son of Betty (Nolan) and Donald Oles (both predeceased) of Middletown, New York.  He is survived by his wife, Sally, of 51 years, son, David (Melissa) Oles and daughter, Laurie (Bernard) Malnarick, 6 wonderful grandchildren Cailey, Blake, Renee, Jordyn, Rachel and Benjamin.  He is predeceased by his older brother, Michael (Donna), his surviving younger sister, Patricia (Roger) Young and his faithful, four-legged friend, Gucci as well as many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. Ralph was a retired veterinarian who practiced his his profession with his partner at Boght Veterinary Clinic in Cohoes, New York until he retired in 2010.  His main ambition from an early age was to care for animals.  Through the years at Boght, he saved more animals than you can count and was loved by his patients as well as their owners.  Upon retirement, he and Sally moved to Vero Beach, Florida where they stayed until moving to Jacksonville where he became the recipient of a double lung transplant at Mayo Clinic. There, again, he made many lasting friendships both with fellow transplant patients as well as his doctors and nurses who he honestly felt he owed his life to.  Two years after transplantation they moved to Sebastian and made many wonderful friendships at his church.  Along with Bible Studies, he enjoyed boating and fishing.  Ralph was very thankful to our Heavenly Father for the extra time he had on earth due to his transplant – he was thankful as well to an unknown lady, his donor who gave him the gift of life.
