Ray B. Steeves, 86, Barefoot Bay, FL., passed away on August 26, 2013 at Sebastian River Medical Center, Sebastian, FL.
Mr. Steeves was born on May 16, 1927 in Lincoln, Maine, and had been a resident of Barefoot Bay, FL., for 26 years coming from Smithfield, Rhode Island.
He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy and before retiring he was employed as a salesman in the textile industry.
Mr. Steeves was a member of the ANAH Shriner's Masonic Temple in Bangor, Maine and the Moose Lodge in Micco, FL.
Mr. Steeves is survived by son, Lloyd W. Steeves, Columbus, GA., daughter, Margaret Steeves, Barefoot Bay, FL. Brother, Douglas Steeves, Lincoln, ME, sister, Lois Stuart, Yarmouth, ME. 7 grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Steeves, and son Byron Steeves.
Services will be held at a later date in Lincoln, Maine.
