Raymond Jacob Kemp

Raymond Jacob Kemp of Sebastian, Florida passed away at Sebastian River Medical Center on Wednesday, December 9th, 2015.
He was born on March 27th, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Albert Louis and Isadora Kemp.

Raymond spent his childhood in Indianapolis, Indiana; Hollywood, California; and Brown County, Indiana - graduating from Nashville High School in 1952. He subsequently enlisted and served in the United States Air Force which laid the ground work for his career as an electronic technician with the United States Civil Service at Naval Avionics Facility in Indianapolis Indiana, from where he retired in 1988.
Raymond enjoyed a lifetime passion for the outdoors with activities including hunting, fishing, camping, and boating - all things that he shared with his family and that enriched his retirement years in Florida. He also enjoyed flying - an activity that he pursued in his earlier years - having aquired his pilots license and owning, restoring, and flying numerous vintage airplanes. His mechanical and technical skills were extraordinary and there were few things mechanical or electronic that he could not master.

Raymond is survived by his loving companion Betty Prueter of Sebastian, Florida; Sons Alan(Christine) Kemp of Aromas, CA ; Douglas(Terri) Kemp of Carmel,IN ; Dennis Kemp of Bloomington,IN, and David Kemp of Sebastian,FL : former wife Joan Kemp of Sebastian,FL; several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, brother Louis William Kemp and sister Alberta June Bryan.
