Raymond Douglas Preston 81 of Sebastian Florida, passed away on January 25, 2023 after a long illness. He was born to the late Elwood Douglas Preston and Roberta Marian Ferris.

He was born in Elmira New York before moving to Cortland New York in 1963.

He was predeceased by his sister Laura Robinson of Brewerton New York. He is survived by his sisters Marilyn Wodarski of Elkland Pennsylvania and Nancy Bush of Chiefland Florida. Also Connie Preston, mother of his children,  Rodney Preston of Cortland New York and Trina Preston (Darin Homer) of Sebastian Florida.  His grandchildren Brooke Preston (David Tobias) and Landon Preston of Cortland New York also Samuel Petruzzi of Sebastian Florida. And three great grandchildren Gianna , Gabriella and Garett Tobias.

He worked for many years in construction in the Syracuse area of New York, He is a member of the Central New York Laborers' Union Local #333.  After his retirement he built himself a woodshop and crafted many wooden gifts and toys over the years and even helped in some historic home restorations in the city of Cortland.

A Celebration of Life will be planned in the future in Cortland New York.
