Fifty-five years ago on March 12th, 1961, early in the morning, Renate Pampel was born in Orlando, Florida. Renate to most, Brice to some, Mom to her children and mommy to her youngest. Always a Smile, a veiled joke and a comforting word to follow.
Renate died on March 2nd, 2016 after a silent, brave and hard fought battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work and was always the optimist. She will forever be remembered for the greatest gift, which was the overwhelming love for her children, Remington, Ryan and Rachel (along with the "much loved" collection of pets and creatures that tagged along behind her children).
She was an artist, a musician, a teacher and an inspiration. Art was her outlet and nature was her focus. She was a recognized artist, whose works were shown in galleries and exhibits throughout Florida and New England and even with that acclaim, she found her greatest joy and satisfaction when nurturing the creative and ever expanding talents of her children. The warmth and enthusiasm that was such a big part of Renate was always carried into the classroom and her glow always seemed to make her student's day a little brighter.
Renate will be forever loved and missed and never forgotten, especially by her family and also by all who got to know her.
A service in her honor will be held at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be sent to the American Cancer Society and the Humane Society of Indian River County.
