Restore Bishop Smedley III "Buzz", was born December 23, 1941 in Darby, PA  and raised on a horse farm in Newtown Square, PA. He Graduated from Marple Newtown High School and Penn State University. He began his career working for GLF Co-Op which later became Agway Inc., Syracuse, NY.

Buzz married Suzanne Kirshner Raby in 1980 and they owned and operated the Belfast Agway/Ace Lawn, Garden, and Hardware store in Belfast, Maine for 17 years, selling it in 2006. From 2002 until 2019 they travelled the US in their "bus" eventually settling in Sebastian, Florida and Clayton, NY.

After a lifetime of adventure on earth, Buzz entered Heaven on October 19, 2025.

Buzz was predeceased by his parents, Restore Bishop Smedley Jr. and Gladys Bowman Smedley; first wife, Meredith Struck VanDerMark; Survivors include his wife, Suzanne; daughter Lauren (Joe) Ayers of New Jersey; son Kevin (Kecia) Smedley of Texas; grandchildren, Zachary
(Kalie) Ayers; Katherine (Dan) Ayers, and Kolter Smedley; Great grandchildren Zoey, Xander, and Carter. His sister, Bonnie (Tom) Lewis. Niece, Colleen (Greg) Fortino; nephew Thomas Lewis; He also leaves behind his two canine kids, Ziva and Lizzie.

A Celebration of Life is planned for summer 2026 in the Thousand Islands, New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in memory of Buzz to St. Francis Hospice at Melbourne Regional Hospital, Melbourne, Florida or Antique Boat Museum, Clayton, NY.
