Rex L. Nelson,82, of Sebastian, a seasonal resident from Edmonds, WA, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at Sebastian Regional Medical Center. He was born in Seward, NE, and has lived in Sebastian Florida for 18 years. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in industrial engineering and served as a Captain in the United States Air Force. Rex was an executive with IBM in Armonk Village for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy W. Nelson of Sebastian, daughter Martha Wakenshaw of Shoreline, WA, and three sons; Scott Nelson of San Francisco, CA, Todd Nelson (wife Gail Nelson) of Bellingham,WA, and Kim Nelson of Trumbull, CT, 8 grandchildren, and sister Nancy Raney of Santa Cruz, CA. No services are scheduled.
