Richard J. Bundy Jr, 84, passed away peacefully, in his sleep, on Tuesday, September 23rd.

He was born to Richard (Sr) and Mildred (Shuttleworth) Bundy, in Amsterdam, NY, on June 17, 1941. He grew up between Florida and New York. After graduating from Manlius Military Academy, in Manlius, NY, Richard enlisted in the US Navy.

Throughout his adult life, Richard worked as an electrician, a machinist, an entrepreneur, and a real estate agent in Rhode Island. He loved sailing and spent the early years of retirement sailing the eastern US coast, including a sail to the Bahamas. He moved to Sebastian, FL in 2003.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Abigail, his two granddaughters, Mel and Morgan, and his sister, Elizabeth, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son, Joshua and his brother, Howard.

The family is planning a celebration of Richard's life around the beginning of Summer of 2026 in Upstate New York and, later in the Summer, another in Rhode Island.
